On 4/19 the Gotcha fished a half day out of Smugglers Marina. We had Christian Bohn, his wife and 3 daughters. The Bohn family request ed an offshore trip so we headed that. The day started productive with a nice blackfin tuna. We then decided to try some deep dropping for snapper but the conditions were against us. After several drops and some undersized snapper and grouper that were out of season Capt David make the call to troll for some mahi mahi and tuna.
We were going to fish a 4 bait spread but before we could get the 4th bait in the water we had our first mahi on. The Bohn family from Norway did a phenomenal job and we ended up catching a few dolphin and several nice sized blackfin tunas. The day ended up perfect. We came back home and cleaned the Bohn families dinner which they were taking to the Cayo Grill in Islamorada.
